Assistant Secretary to the Government in the Department of the Taoiseach

Andrew Munro is Assistant Secretary to the Government in the Department of the Taoiseach. In addition to Government Secretariat matters he has responsibilities relating to liaison between the Government and the Office of the President, and between the Government and the Houses of the Oireachtas, on constitutional matters. He is Secretary to Cabinet Committee F (National Security) and the National Security Committee. With an academic background in law, history, and economics he previously worked in the Department of Justice and Equality for 15 years on policing reform, criminal legislation, and immigration matters and in EU and Council of Europe fora on white collar crime and corruption.
